I’m Lisa Zimmer Hatch, and for over 30 years I’ve helped teens and adults like you realize their college and career dreams.
I’ve created and taught standardized test preparation and career courses offered online and live lecture through over three hundred universities nationwide, so I’m very familiar with a wide range of college experiences. My writing credits include a number of educational titles: ACT For Dummies, 7th edition, 1001 ACT Practice Questions For Dummies, SAT II U.S. History For Dummies, SAT II Biology For Dummies, SAT II Math For Dummies, LSAT For Dummies, 2nd edition, GMAT For Dummies, 8th edition, Paralegal Career For Dummies, (all published by Wiley) and Paralegal Procedures and Practices, 2nd edition, (published by Cengage/Delmar).
As an Independent College Consultant, I apply my expertise to guiding high school and graduate students through the college admissions process. It’s my mission to help you recognize the individual interests, talents, and needs that make you unique. I then build on that knowledge to discover which of the many college options out there best fit your individuality and aspirations and your family’s financial position. Together we make the journey through the college application process to help you realize those ambitions.
My academic and professional credentials include graduating with honors in English from the University of Puget Sound, studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, through the Middlebury College Language School, and receiving an MA in humanities with a literature emphasis from California State University. I’ve received a Certificate in College Counseling through UCLA, and I’m a member of the Rocky Mountain Association of College Admissions Counselors (RMACAC) , College Consultants of Colorado, and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).
